In this talk I will describe recent results (joint with Shucheng Yu) on the Fourier expansion of Eisenstein series corresponding to arithmetic lattices acting on hyperbolic space. In particular, I will describe some consequences of this expansion to the study of the poles of these Eisenstein series, as well as to some counting problems, in particular, counting rational points on spheres with a bounded height.
